pam_motd.so und keine motd

Hi,
ich habe zunehmend auf einigen rechnern mit Debian/Sarge das problem
das pam_motd.so die motd nicht mehr anzeigt.

Das ganze faellt mir hauptsaechlich bei ssh logins auf. Die loesung in
der sshd_config das PrintMotd zu setzen finde ich unbefriedigend.

Ausprobiert habe ich bisher das ordering in der
/etc/pam.d/common-session zu aendern, PriviledgeSeperation im ssh
auszumachen und die priority von pam_motd von optional auf required zu
setzen. Alles bisher ohne erfolg. 

Von meinem debugging von vor ein paar tagen weiss ich das pam_motd die
/etc/motd oeffnet aber nicht anzeigt.

Hat vielleicht jemand das problem schon gehabt und geloest ?
