postfix macht kein smtp-auth

hallo lug,

ich will meine mails mit postfix an einem smtp-auth abkippen.
da ich erst dachte das mein empfangender postfix da ein problem
macht (obwohl es da mit mozilla tut) versuche ich smtp-auth jetzt
erstmal bei gmx - das hatte ich früher auch schon mal mit exim am
rennen, d.h. der gmx-account passt.

Also ich habe folgende Packte installiert:

ii  libsasl-modules-plain     1.5.27-3.3

es gibt eine smtp_auth mit folgenden aufbau:
mail.gmx.de		tbals:passwd
und mit "postmap smtp_auth" behandelt.

in der main.cf steht u.a.:

Irgendwie scheint sich mein postfix nicht bei gmx authentisieren wollen
- was habe ich denn falsch gemacht?
