Pppoe Problem

Hi Leute,

seit einiger Zeit läuft mein Telekom DSL Flatrate Anschluss nicht mehr
richtig.

Das System ist Debian 2.2rev5 mit Kernel 2.4.10 und Roaring Penguin
PPPoE Version 3.3
Das einzige Paket aus dem unstable Sektor ist der pppd, da DSL ohne
diesen 
nicht funktioniert hat 
( upgrade mit apt und kurzfristiger Aktivierung der sources Zeile ).

Der Rechner geht durchschnittlich ( wenn auch unterschiedlich ) im 
57 Minuten Takt Offline und benötigt dann einige Anläufe bis er wieder
Online ist. Woran kann das liegen? Bisherige Einstellungsänderungen 
haben hier bisher nicht geholfen :-(
