USB Festplatte

Hi,
ich habe hier eine WDC USB 2.0 300 GB Festplatte mit Kernel 
2.6.12.
Das Problem ist, dass wenn ich mir die dmesg Ausgabe angucke
Vendor: WDC WD30  Model: 00JB-00KFA0       Rev: 0811
Type:   Direct-Access                      ANSI SCSI revision: 00
usb-storage: device scan complete

Danach kommt nichts mehr.
Wenn ich die Platte in nem anderen Rechner anstecke bekomme 
ich noch:

Also wird kein device zugeordnet.

ubscore, usb-storage und uhci-hdc sind geladen.
Hat einer eine Idee, woran das liegen könnte?
