Probleme mit gentoo Installation

Hallo Liste,

ich benutze seit inzwischen seit weit über einen Jahr gentoo. Habe in
der Zeit mehrere Systeme damit aufgesetzt.
Vor ca. 1 Woche rauchte bei mir zu Hause eine Festplatte ab, und nahm
mein letztes funktionierendes System mit sich.
Seit dem versuche ich es neu zu installieren, komme jedoch nicht
sonderlich weit, da ich Massenhaft compilerfehler und Abbrüche bei
diversen Packete ernte.
Unter anderem den gentoo-sources, kde, gnome, openoffice...
bei den gentoo-sources folgendes:

patch: pch.c:614: intuit_diff_type: Assertion `i0 != NONE'
failed.                                                
in der dazugehörigen Datei steht:
o file to patch.  Skipping patch.

(diese oder ähnliche Meldungen füllen fast die ganze Datei...)

in meiner make.conf sind folge USE-Flags gesetzt:
USE="X gtk2 gnome alsa kde dvd java usb"
ALSA_CARDS="via82xx"
...
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CFLAGS="-mcpu=athlon-xp -O3 -pipe"

Die Hardware scheint soweit ok zu sein.

Hat irgendwer eine Idee warum dieser Fehler auftritt ?
Auf meinem Laaptop habe ich gentoo vor einigen tagen noch ohne
Probleme installieren können....
Achja, der System ist ein AMD Athlon XP 2500+, Asus A7V600(nicht SE)
mit Sound und Lan, Riva TNT2 Grafikkarte (asus3800 wenn ich mich recht
entsinne).

Bin für jeden Tipp dankbar.
