Problem mit USB Maus

Hallo, 

ich habe mir heute eine Optische Funkmaus von Tchibo (TCM) bei REWE gekauft. 
Die Maus soll ueber USB laufen, und meine Kabelmaus bleibt am PS/2 als Ersatz 
falls mal die Batterien leer sind.
Leider funktioniert das nicht.
"cat /dev/psaux" spuckt Kauderwelsch aus wenn ich meine PS/2 Maus bewege, aber 
"cat /dev/input/mice" bleibt stumm bei Mausbewegungen.

Ich habe zusätzlich noch meine /etc/X11/XF86Config angehängt, 
für den Fall das dies villeicht hilft.
