Boot problem

Hi,

ich muss schon seit einiger Zeit meine Platte abklemmen um eine Bootdiskette 
mit LILO zu erstellen. Leider weiss ich bis heute nicht warum.
Hier die Situation:
PIII-800 Dual
512MB Ram
[Tekram SCSI]
+ LVD: 36G IBM [id10]
+ LVD: 18G IBM [id0] (/ filesystem)
+ UW: 9G IBM [id9]

+ SCSI: Pioneer DVD-303 [id3]

Nun boote ich aus Tradition noch immer von Floppy, weil in meinem MBR der IDE 
Platte damals NT war, und mein SCSI Controller nicht booten konnte.
Wenn ich jetzt aus meinem laufendem System heraus eine Bootdiskette mit LILO 
erstelle, funktioniert dies zwar, aber booten tut er damit nicht (system.map 
problem).
Wenn ich aber mit rausgezogener IDE Platte boote, und dann LILO laufen lasse 
bootet die Diskette problemlos mein Linux System.

Ich muss wol noch anmerken das meine IDE Platte, aus welchem Grund auch immer, 
nicht von meinem BIOS erkannt wird. Wenn ich die Platte auto-erkennen lasse 
oder sie manuell konfiguriere, haengt sich die Kiste auf. Im BIOS ist die 
Platte also nicht vorhanden, aber sobald Linux bootet wird die Platte vom 
Kernel erkannt, und laeuft auch sonst tadellos.
Die probleme habe ich auch ca. seit die Platte mein BIOS nicht mehr mag (oder 
umgekert), ich kann es aber nicht mit Sicherheit sagen da ich damals (ja, ca. 
1-2 Jahre her), eher selten nen neuen Kernel gebastelt habe, aber ich mit 
meinen Platten damals oefter zwischen Schottland und Deutschland gependelt 
bin (hier hatte ich nen Celeron 400 stehen, und in Schottland den Dual 
PIII800).
