dpkg will nicht

Hi Liste,

ich habe Stress mit apt-get (dpkg). Immer wenn ich ein Paket installieren 
will (ganz gleich ob ich dies per 'dpkg -i bla.deb' oder via 'apt-get 
dist-upgrade' tue) bekomme ich folgende Meldung:

(Reading database ... dpkg: error processing kpackage (--remove):
 files list file for package `base-files' is missing final newline
Errors were encountered while processing:
 kpackage
Processing was halted because there were too many errors.
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Was kann ich dagegen tun?

Ach ja, und nochwas: Wie kann ich ls dazu bringen mir das Verzeichniss in 
dem eine Datei liegt mit auszuspucken?
