SVCD

Hallo 
Es wurde ja schon ab und zu darüber gesprochen, daß mehr
Daten auf einen Rohling gehen als angegeben sind, wenn es
sich bei der CD um eine SVCD handelt. Hat jemand Erfahrungen
damit? Konkret: Ich habe hier folgende Datei liegen:

hajo at opa /var/data/film$ ls -la mpeg2* 
-rwxr-xr-x    1 hajo     hajo     785512000 Apr 25 09:25 mpeg2.mpg

Geht die auf einen 700MB Rohling? Gibts ein Tool mit dem 
ich die Datei in zwei mpgs aufteilen kann?
