"crusoe" ist der Name einer Prozessort Familie, die transmeta entwickelt hat.
Der Prozessor ist durch Reduzierung auf das wesentliche an Transistoren sehr
stromsparend ( ca 25% eines vergleichbareb Intel Chip´s). Die Architektur wird
über eine Software "Intel kompatibel". In der aktuellen c´t 3/2000 steht alles
drin. :-)

Echte Produkte gibt es noch nicht, da es auch noch keine "Crusoe" Prozessoren
in entsprechenden Stückzahlen gibt.

Achso: 	Die Software, die den Prozessor Intel kompatibel macht, ist unter
	anderem von Linus Torvalds geschrieben worde. Ein Mobile Linux für 
	ROM Betrien ist auch schon fertig oder steht vor der Fertigstellung.

Da wird noch interessant.
