DoS für switch?

Hallo!

Ich hab' eben aus Langeweile mal ein X-Cable in den Switch gesteckt und mich
über 100MBit fd gefreut. Dann noch eines... ...und dann stand das Netz;( 
Sollte ein switch nicht eigentlich erkennen, daß 2 seiner Ports untereinander
den Switch mit ARP packest (?) plattmachen? Ich fand das jedenfalls schwach...
